The tournament rules for 2008 have been revised and approved by the club to include the below statement:

Section 3: Boat and Angler Requirements

"In order to participate in Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters, Inc. events, all boats and operators must have at least $300,000 General Boating Liability Insurance. Proof in the form of an Insurance Certificate naming Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters Inc. as the certificate holder, or a copy of a valid boat policy DECLARATION PAGE must be submitted to the Tournament Committee Chairman prior to the tournament draw. Failure to submit proof will make a competitor ineligible to participate as a boater."

To receive an Insurance Certificate (aka Certificate of Insurance), you must request one from your insurance agent or company. Your insurance company will mail your Insurance Certificate directly to the Certificate Holder, Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters, Inc.. Tournament Committee Chairman John Cannizzaro, has requested that the below address be used:

Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters, Inc.

C/O John Cannizzaro

P.O. Box 904

Brewster, NY 10509

It is a good ideas that you request that your insurance company copy you when sending out the Insurance Certificate so that you have a copy for your records.

Remember, if you don't want to go through this process, the rule does allow that a copy of your insurance policy Declaration Page be submitted as proof of insurance. The Declaration Page is mailed or provided to you when you start or renew your policy.

If you have any questions, please contact the Tournament Committee Chairman, or bring your questions to the next club meeting.
