On Saturday September 9th the membership of Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters along with their family and friends enjoyed a beautiful day on Candlewood Lake during the first annual Family Fun Day. Although the fishing was tough on this particular day, the members and their families had a great time on the water and enjoyed a nice lakeside lunch.

Tom and the kids returned to the State Park for a lakeside lunch.

Is the food ready yet?

Chef Kamel replied “come and get it!”

After lunch everyone was back out on the water for some boating, swimming and a little fishing. Joe Jr. and daughter are pictured enjoying the afternoon.

Kamel and his son look like they are having fun…check out those shades…YIKES!

And who caught the big fish of the day?  Kaylah and her dad Andre did while fishing with their boat captain Bob Nelson. This nice smallmouth bass tipped the scale at 3˝ pounds. Great job Kaylah!!

A special thanks to our Youth Committee members Andre and Charlie for organizing the event. And thank you Kamel for providing and preparing the lakeside lunch, and to all the members that made this day a special one for the kids.
