About US
Westchester Rod and Reel Bassmasters, Inc. was established in 1986 as a bass fishing organization participating in local club level fishing tournaments, as well youth and conservation related events. We are based in Westchester County, New York, and our members reside in the Lower Hudson Valley region, western Connecticut, Rockland County and Long Island. We are proud members of the B.A.S.S Federation Nation, the New York BASS Chapter Federation and the Alliance of Bass Clubs.
Our club tournament trail consists of seven points events per season with boaters and non-boaters paired by a random drawing. We score the anglers top 6 events with one drop for our various titles including Angler of the Year, Non-Boater of the Year, Most Improved Angler, Rookie of the Year, as well as qualifying our NYBCF Club Team Championship team.
One of the highlights of our season is our Summer Classic, held most years at Lake Champlain out of Ticonderoga. Our members get together for the ultimate in bass fishing competition on one of the country's best bass fishing lakes. Our season is completed at our Year End Championship where the top 10 anglers and any angler that has won a tournament during the year square off in a two-day tournament where we crown our Club Champion.
Westchester Rod and Reel
Bassmasters has also won the Alliance of Bass Clubs Challenge Cup
Champions 5 times since being established in 1992. (1996, 1999, 2001,
2002 and 2007 Challenge Cup Champions).
